Inspire others by taking a stand for what you believe in

In order for other people to follow you, they have to know two simple things; 1. Who they are following and 2. That your convictions inspire you to stand for something.Take a stand. Dr. Turner Joy

Whether, it is you, your company, or both, you are a leader or positioning yourself to be a leader, you have to instill and inspire in your staff a sense of belief in what the company or team stands for. To gain the belief and loyalty of your employees, there has to be a core set of principles, and you especially must be true to those ideals.

Otherwise, it’s very hard to build a bond with your people. Start by defining your principles, following them, and setting an example; you’ll end up enhancing the level of inspiration and trust in your team. In today’s connected world, if it’s not clear what you stand for, people will make their own assumptions about you, and talk about them.

Or perhaps worse, just ignore you altogether, as you become less and less relevant. And standing for something, if it’s rooted in improvement, gives you the opportunity to inspire and to unite your customers, employees, and communities alike.
